Brand Identity Services That Go Beyond the Logo.

Brand identity design for small businesses: logo, color system, typography, voice, and guidelines built to stay consistent as you grow.

Your logo is one part of your brand. The rest of the color system, the voice, and the guidelines that keep everything consistent. This is what makes a brand actually work. Your brand is a system.

Most businesses have a logo. Fewer have a brand. Here’s the difference and why it matters more than you think. Most businesses start with a logo and stop there. That’s not a brand identity, that’s a mark.

A brand identity is the complete system that tells people who you are before you’ve said anything: how you look, how you sound, what you stand for, and how all of that stays consistent across every touchpoint. I build brand identities that hold up not just at launch, but a year from now, when your team has grown, and you need someone else to use the assets you’ve created.

 What Brand Identity Actually Is

Before I recommend anything, I need to understand what you’re building and where you are in the process. That’s why every new engagement starts with a short questionnaire. It’s not a formality; it’s how I make sure that whatever I suggest is actually grounded in your goals. Your logo is a mark. A brand identity is everything that mark lives inside the colors, the typography, the voice, the way you write an email, the way your business card feels in someone’s hand. It’s the system that makes your business look and sound like itself, no matter where it shows up.

When that system doesn’t exist or exists only partially, it shows. Inconsistent visuals, copy that doesn’t match the visual tone, and a logo that looks great on a screen and falls apart in print. Customers notice, even when they can’t name what’s off. Brand identity work at Greymoor starts with the foundation and builds outward. By the end, you have a complete system, not just a logo and a color you picked because you liked it, and your budget.

What I Offer And What Each One Actually Covers.

Logo System (Logo & Brand Marks)

A primary logo, secondary variations, and any alternate versions your brand needs, horizontal, stacked, icon-only, as well as usage guidelines. Built in vector format, so it scales from a business card to a billboard without losing quality.

Color Palette

A defined palette of primary and secondary colors with exact values for print (CMYK), digital (HEX/RGB), and accessibility compliance. Not just colors you like, but colors that work together and work for your audience.

l

Typography System

Primary and secondary typefaces with hierarchy rules (usage guidelines). How to use them, when to use them, and what to avoid. Which font is for the headlines. Which is for the body. What size and weight work together. The rules that make text feel intentional instead of accidental.

Brand Voice & Messaging

How your brand sounds in writing. Tone, language vocabulary, what you always say, and what you don’t. Includes a positioning statement and tagline if needed. Especially useful if someone other than the founder will ever write copy for the business.

Brand Strategy

The foundation underneath the visuals: who your audience is, how you’re positioned in your market, what makes you different, and what your brand needs to communicate to earn the right
client’s attention.

i

Brand Guidelines Document

A complete reference guide that documents every element of your brand system. This guide is for you, any designer you work with, and any team member who writes or designs on behalf of your business. Your brand stays consistent, whether you’re updating your website, designing a flyer, or briefing
a printer.

Brand identity at Greymoor Interactive is a system built, not a deliverable handoff.
Every element is designed to work together and to keep working as your business grows

This Is for You If Your Brand Isn’t Doing Its Job.

"

Brand identity makes the most sense at several stages, not just at launch. I work with businesses that are starting from scratch, businesses that have outgrown an identity they built quickly and cheaply, and businesses that have been running long enough to know what they stand for but have never put it into a system. You’re growing, and inconsistency is starting to create real problems.

It’s not the right fit if you just need a quick logo and you’re not interested in the system around it. There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s just a
different engagement.

How to Know if Brand Identity is Right for You?

  • You’re launching a new business and want to start with a real foundation, not a placeholder logo
  • Your visual identity was built fast and early, and it shows
  • You’ve rebranded in your head, but your materials still look like who you used to be
  • Your team is using the logo inconsistently because there are no clear guidelines
  • You have a logo you love, but nothing else around it is cohesive
  • You’re about to scale and need brand assets that will grow with you.

How a Brand Identity Engagement Works.

1. Questionnaire

Every engagement starts with a written questionnaire. It’s not busywork; it’s the information that lets me show up to our first conversation with something useful to say. It covers your business, your audience, your competition, and your vision for the brand. This is how I build context before we talk, so our first conversation is strategic, not introductory.

4. Design & Development

Logo concepts, color exploration, typography pairing, and the full visual system — developed based on the strategy foundation. I build the identity system based on what we’ve established. You’ll see concepts, give feedback, and we’ll refine until it’s right. Not endless rounds of focused revisions with a clear direction. You’ll see the work in context, not just on a white background.

2. Discovery Call

Once I’ve reviewed your questionnaire, we’ll schedule a video call or an in-person if we are local. We will discuss your goals. We will go over what is immediate and necessary to launch your brand, what you need. don’t need, and what can wait, as well as any wants or wish list items you might see in the future. We’ll agree on scope, timeline, and budget before anything begins.

5. Refinement

Feedback rounds are built into the process. We refine until the identity is right, not until a revision limit runs out. You will never feel like you have to settle for a design that is truly not the vision for your business. I want your brand to be timeless, so you’re not having to come up with a new brand 5 years from now. Your brand says where you are going. Not where you are.

3. Strategy & Direction

I start with the brand strategy layer. We go deep on your business. Who your audience is, what positions are already occupied in your space, and where your brand can own something specific. Visual direction comes after strategy, not instead of it. This is also where we begin to discuss physical attributes like colors, logo type, and typography

6. Brand Guidelines Delivery

You receive a complete file package with every format you’ll need for print and digital, plus your brand guidelines document. Everything is organized, labeled, and ready to use. This makes the system usable for anyone who touches your brand going forward. I also keep all original files, so if something happens, you know I have a backup as well.

New York Bagel Cafe Logo designed by Greymoor Interactive. The logo features New York Bagel Cafe written in white on a black background with yellow borders with the Tulsa City Icon in yellow on the center of the circle on the end where New York and Bagel start and New York and Cafe end with the Brooklyn Bridge in the center. New York Bagel Cafe is located in Tulsa, OK.

REAL-WORLD CONTEXT

New York Bagel Cafe in Tulsa came to Greymoor Interactive for a complete rebrand, a new logo, and a brand identity transition that protected the equity they’d already built in the community. The result became a visual anchor that the business still uses, and the community still recognizes. That’s what a brand identity is supposed to do: outlast the launch.

The cost to build a brand identity

The CandidSol Wedding Photography Logo designed by Greymoor Interactive. CandidSol is modern typeface in a hot pink outline with no color fill. To the right, there is a solid matte teal citrus shape with an hot pink outline of a citrus slice. CandidSol Wedding Photography is located in Tucson, AZ.

There’s no price list here for the same reason there isn’t one anywhere on this site: brand identity engagements vary too much to quote without a conversation. A solopreneur launching a service business and an established company rebranding across six product lines are
not the same project.

What I can tell you: I’ll give you a clear, itemized estimate before any work begins. No surprises, no scope creep without a conversation first. Flexible payment plans are available.

Common questions about brand identity services at Greymoor Interactive.

Do you offer logo design without a full brand identity package?

In some cases, yes, but it depends on what you already have. If you have a solid brand foundation (clear positioning, defined voice, established palette) and genuinely only need a new logo, I can work within that context. If the logo is just the most visible symptom of a broader brand problem, I’ll tell you that in the discovery call so you can make an informed decision about scope.

What file formats will I receive?

All final files are delivered in vector format (AI, EPS, SVG) for infinite scalability, plus PNG and JPG exports in multiple sizes for immediate use. You’ll have files for print, for web, for dark backgrounds, and for light backgrounds, everything your brand needs across every application.

How long does a brand identity project take?

A full brand identity system typically takes four to eight weeks, depending on scope and how quickly we can move through feedback rounds. Larger projects, those with extensive guidelines, multiple brand marks, or a significant strategy component, may take longer. I’ll always give you a realistic timeline before we start.

Can I use my new brand identity for trademark registration?

Yes, the logo files I deliver are appropriate for trademark registration. Greymoor Interactive can also assist with the trademark filing process as part of a business strategy engagement if needed.

What if I already have some brand elements I want to keep?

That’s completely workable. Brand identity doesn’t have to mean starting from zero. We can audit what you have, identify what’s working and what isn’t, and build a cohesive system around the elements worth keeping.
